Every Friday at 9 am (Eastern Time), The Pitchfeeder e-mails you a list of the latest *paid* opportunities for freelance journalists.
We sift through hundreds of these callouts to present you with a whittled-down list of the best ones.

We want to help you save time looking for freelance journalism gigs. That’s why we generally don’t include the following:

Full-time / staff jobs / internships: There are already lots of great sites and Twitter feeds that list full-time staff jobs for journalists, writers, or reporters.
Unpaid / volunteer / student gigs: We try to list only paid opportunities. Student newspapers and academic journals tend to fall into the unpaid category. If rates are published, we include them in the newsletter.
Content writers / social media / SEO: The Pitchfeeder focuses on journalism, and not on writing in general, or on “media jobs” in general. That's why we usually don't include calls for editors, proofreaders, account managers, grant writers, proposal writers, press officers, technical writers, UX/graphic design/illustration gigs, jobs calls posted on Upwork or Fiverr, etc.
Calls for fiction / poetry / playwriting / literary magazines: We focus on non-fiction journalism opportunities; there are lots of great resources out there for fiction.
Dodgy / exploitative calls: "$0.005 per word" ≈ unpaid. We also don't include gigs that radiate “sketchy” ("We're hiring writers. DM for more info").
Freelance journalism guides / resources / tips: Those are all great things, but we focus on calls for pitches.
